Embossing / Debossing

Embossing raises an image; Debossing lowers an image.
Just like when a notary use their stamp to notarize a document.

Embossing or Debossing offer an effect that is pressed into the substrate that shows shadows and highlights of your design. Dies can be either simple or complex.

Embossing can be made single-level, multilevel, sculptured with beveled edges depending on the desired effect, using a combination of pressure and heat.

Braille is another use of embossing.
